The next European Carbon Farming Summit will take place from 17–19 March 2026 in the historic city of Padua, Italy, at the Padova Congress Centre, and you can have a key role in shaping it. This call invites practitioners, project developers, policymakers, investors, agrifood companies, cooperatives and rural communities, to share insights, innovations, and experiences related to carbon farming.

After the second edition, which hosted 40 parallel sessions and received almost 50 poster contributions, this year we are managing one single call for all types of contributions. Whether it’s a poster, workshop, full session with a panel of speakers, or a short oral presentation, we welcome proposals that bring fresh insights, practical experiences, and diverse perspectives to the table. The deadline for submission is next Friday 31 October 2025, and selections will be made in November 2025.

Next year’s summit contributions will explore five key themes:

✅ Driving finance and investments into carbon farming

✅ Practical examples and results from implemented carbon farming projects

✅ Development of rigorous yet flexible MRV approaches

✅ Who can claim carbon removals? Untangling ownership rights, from farmers to buyers of certificates, from insetting schemes to national inventories.

✅ Beyond carbon: Exploring holistic approaches that put the focus on the co-benefits (environmental and social) of carbon farming.
