The call for contributions to the European Carbon Farming Summit 2027is now open. Until Thursday 5 November 2026, Project Credible invites farmers and land managers, researchers, advisors, businesses, public authorities and others working on carbon farming to help shape the conversations in Kraków, Poland, on 16–18 March 2027, by sharing research outcomes, practical experience or policy insights.
The Summit brings people working across science, policy and practice together to exchange experience and develop concrete recommendations. Contributions can explore how to implement carbon farming credibly, deliver practical value for farmers and land managers, and address climate mitigation, biodiversity and resilience.
Contributors can propose an individual oral presentation, a poster or a poster with a pitch. Proposals are also welcome for complete sessions with a panel or a series of presentations, workshops, and training sessions.
This is the only call for contributions for the 2027 Summit. Proposals will be assessed on relevance and quality. Contributors proposing sessions should explain how they will encourage exchange with participants and contribute to concrete outcomes.
The eight thematic priorities cover barriers to monitoring, reporting and verification (MRV); scientific robustness; interoperable data and farmer data governance; co-benefits, trade-offs and safeguards; demand and finance; advisory support and peer-to-peer learning for whole-farm systems; governance and landscape-scale delivery; and pathways for different sectors and regions.
Contributors should select no more than two thematic priorities, focusing on one where possible. The guidance document sets out the full priorities, contribution formats and practical suggestions for interactive sessions.
The 2027 Summit is organised by Climate KIC, EIT Food and the Project Credible new consortium, and will be co-hosted by the Institute of Soil Science and Plant Cultivation – State Research Institute (IUNG-PIB), Green Alchemy and the European Carbon Farmers, with the support of the National Bioeconomy Hub in Poland.
